You are likely eligible if you are 18+ and were formerly incarcerated in a California state prison (any release date), live in or are exiting to one of California’s Small Counties, have a current housing need, and can provide basic documentation (or self-attest with staff help).

There is no statewide income cap under the Adult Reentry Grant. We collect monthly income to generate an AMI advisory used for screening and prioritization.

No. We follow Housing First: there are no sobriety or “program readiness” requirements. We do not ask about immigration or citizenship status, and alternative IDs are accepted.

Funding is limited. We prioritize households at highest risk of homelessness or housing loss, so not all eligible applicants will be served immediately.
